The Concept: Rest– Beyond the Pin
We decided to focus the direction of this event’s installation around the concept of rest IRL. As an avid Pinner myself, I find myself getting lost in the digital experience of the platform and missing the link to act on the ideas I’ve pinned.
Inspired by the human body's response to physical and mental rest, “Rest: Beyond the Pin” is designed to evoke a sense of relief through its intentional structure, elevated resting experience, and unique ability to connect and transcend the meaning of rest from the digital world to physical space.
Pinterest Havens began as an idea created by Pinterest team. This idea evolved into an immersive in-person experience grounded by the meaning of rest beyond the pin.

Havens: Invest in Rest, an online and offline destination exploring the relationship between mental health and rest. Inspired by the Pinterest Predicts trend “invest in rest,” the Haven will include a collection of relaxing imagery and Idea Pins about rest from Pinterest Creators.
The Havens experience included an expansive mural, painted by Dwight White and an installation brought to life by designer, Christyna Conway and fabricator, Jai Bradford. The installation works in tandem with the Havens community board to encourage viewers to take a breath and consider how to intentionally nourish their wellbeing.
